So one of the best things that has happened to me as a result of having this blog is that it seems to have reconnected me with old friends. I put a banner to this site on my MySpace and some people have found their way here and reached out to me. Of course, some of YOU have reached out to me via MySpace, which I love!
Jenn and I were good friends in high school but we lost touch as people do. But lately, we've been writing back and forth, exchanging recipes (the stuffed bell peppers she suggested are a fave) and ideas. She suggested a book for me and we are both reading it and I thought I would suggest it here and encourage anyone to join in on the reading group cause I'll probably post about it and I thought it would be fun to have a little activity between us.
Anyway, if you pick up a copy anytime soon, let me know how you are liking it. I am planning to start it this weekend and I'll let you know what I think, what I learn, what I hate (let's face it- I'm opinionated so there is bound to be something- LOL) and so on.
Here it is:
In fact, you can buy it from that silly little Amazon box on the right but I won't be offended if you go to your local bookstore and pick one up in person. I also will not be offended if you don't read it at all. I'm not going to ONLY talk about the BOOK after all. I've got LOTS of whining to do yet!
This one looks cute too- I'll have to get this one next.
So anyway, here's a step toward being more productive, right?
And in other news, not my best day food-wise. A loaded bagel for breakfast, a rather untriumphant weigh-in at Jenny (just minus .2 ounces) and when I met up with friends after work, I was unable to resist a couple of drinks my friends bought for me.
C'est la vie. One day at a time. I will endeavor to better every day no matter how it turns out by the time I go to bed. That's what I've been saying to myself lately. And I will not beat myself up anymore!
